Rental terms and conditions
GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
GoodPlace d.o.o., its agents, servants, and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss or delay incurred by any person arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier or other person rendering any of the services or products being offered in these rentals; nor shall GoodPlace d.o.o., be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reasons of any event beyond the actual control of GoodPlace d.o.o., or of any agent or supplier, or due to force majeure. Renters follow any suggested itinerary at their own risk and agree not to hold GoodPlace d.o.o., responsible for injury or death resulting from accidents. We strongly recommend the use of approved helmets whenever mounted on a bicycle. Helmets can be provided at extra cost. The bicycles provided for use are in satisfactory operating condition and participants agree to use them at their own risk or call deficiencies to the attention of a company representative. Individual bike specifications are subject to change based on availability of replacement components. Instruction in the use, assembly and maintenance of bicycles will not be provided and participants affirm that they are competent and familiar with the use of a multi-speed bicycle.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Delivery and collection service is subject to approval by management at delivery and collection location. All delivery and collection locations should have a staffed reception and local contact phone number. Renters are responsible for ensuring that management at their accommodation is agreeable to accepting bike delivery and providing safe storage for bikes pending the renters arrival. Similarly, renters are responsible for ensuring that management at the designated collection address are agreeable to safely storing bikes and handing them over to our courier service. Renters staying in private residences may collect bikes from GoodPlace d.o.o. office and return them to the same.
MAINTENANCE, TUNING AND RESPONSIBILITY
Although all our bikes are professionally serviced before dispatch, bicycles may need tuning or maintenance during the course of the rental period; such maintenance will be carried out at the renter’s expense. GoodPlace d.o.o. will cover the cost of damages due to equipment failures beyond the renters control; i.e. damage occurred during transport or worn parts. Any deficiencies must be communicated to GoodPlace d.o.o.within 48 hours of receipt of the equipment. To be eligible for a refund on such parts and service, you must provide GoodPlace d.o.o. with a photo of the damaged or worn parts and an invoice for new parts or services. GoodPlace d.o.o. is responsible for structural deficiencies such as damaged frames, worn bottom brackets, suspension and wheel hubs. GoodPlace d.o.o. is not responsible for the following occurrences during bike rental: gear tune ups / punctures / broken spokes / broken chains / broken derailleurs / broken drop-outs / wheel rim damage / torn saddles / damage beyond the control of GoodPlace d.o.o. and resultant of rider use or misuse.
If you are undertaking an unassisted bicycle tour we strongly recommend that you have some basic bicycle maintenance knowledge. A list of the closest bike shops can be provided on request.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE OR LOSS
Customer agrees he/she will return the equipment in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear accepted, and to repair and replace lost or stolen, damaged or broken bicycles or parts or to reimburse GoodPlace d.o.o. for said equipment. Therefore regardless of the party at fault, customer understands and agrees to be responsible for the theft or damage to said equipment.
Customer understands and agrees that any subleasing of rental equipment is prohibited and that any such sublease shall immediately cause termination and cancellation of this contract.
Customer shall assume liability for any and all damage or loss of and to personal property, accident / injury to other persons related to said rental equipment.
Personal accident insurance is not covered by rental service or the rental company GoodPlace d.o.o.
We strongly advise all clients to purchase health and accident insurance. We recommend it covers personal liability and personal effects.
Bike rental: Upon confirmation, a deposit of €29 per bike is requested to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied to your invoice and the remaining balance is payable with bank transfer – up to 14 days before the rent or at the bike pick-up (cash or credit card).
Cycling Holidays: Upon confirmation, a deposit of 25% per bike is requested to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied to your invoice and the remaining balance is payable up to 30 days before your due date or your reservation is subject to cancellation.
Damage deposit in the form of credit card charge plus the rider’s photo ID is required at the bike pick up. Any deposit given by the customer shall be applied to and guarantee the faithful performance of all the provisions of this agreement and all repairs necessary to said equipment. If any action is brought to enforce any of the terms of conditions of this agreement, or to recover any sums due to hereunder, customer agrees to pay all legal fees, court costs, or other expenses.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Bike rentals: Cancellations received 30 days or more before your start date will receive a full refund of any monies paid to date. Cancellations received 14 to 29 days before your start date will be refunded any monies paid minus a cancellation fee of €29. Cancellations made 13 days or less before your start date are not eligible for refund.
Rentals ending before the end date are not eligible for refund. All applicable refunds will be issued upon return of all rented equipment.
LATE RETURN FEE
An additional day’s rental fee will be charged for each day customer keeps equipment after the return date specified on this contract. All equipment must be returned directly to GoodPlace d.o.o. or wherever agreed.
