SALZBURG TO VENICE

The easy cycling between the two iconic places of Salzburg and Venice is packed with natural attractions and beautiful sites. For the good part, the route follows rivers, running initially amongst Alpine peaks. Later on, it reaches the famous Lake Bled area in Slovenia. A scenic train ride takes the group into a different climate and landscape, first along the emerald Soča river to the Tuscany-like Collio and then to the Adriatic coast, finishing at the 15-km beach just before Venice.

AROUND TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK

Triglav National Park is a mysterious area extending over 840 km2 at the heart of the Julian Alps. Its major features include the largest glacial lake in Slovenia – Lake Bohinj, where the tour begins. A day of cycling away is the famous Lake Bled, while the Soča river on the other side of the mountain peaks takes two days and a half. In between awaits the most beautiful ascent in this part of the Alps, the one leading to the Vršič pass. The trip around Soča valley ends with a scenic mountainous train ride back to Bohinj and Ljubljana.
