The film follows a journey through Slovenia’s landscapes, wine regions and green destinations, featuring local people, wineries, top restaurants and Slovenia Green-certified accommodations.

The Slovenia Green Gourmet Route connects Slovenia’s green destinations through cycling, local food and wine.

It was created in 2021 through a collaboration between the Slovenian Tourist Board, the Slovenia Green Consortium and destinations along the route. Today, we are the route’s official tour operator.

It was selected by National Geographic in 2023 as one of the 5 wildly underrated natural escapes.

The Slovenia Green Gourmet Route is a 12-day, 423 km cycling journey connecting some of western and eastern Slovenia’s most beautiful regions.

Along the way, cyclists ride through vineyards, charming towns, and some of the country’s best-known gastronomic destinations – from the alpine Soča Valley and Goriška Brda wine country to Ljubljana, the capital, and the historic cities of Ptuj and Maribor.
