Down the TransALP Adria epic tour [photo story]
Let’s continue with a short photo presentation of an otherwise long and epic mountain bike tour, which will soon become public after many working days spent in the field with maps and behind computers!
The TransAlp Adria tour, starting in Bad Kleinkirchheim, took us to Villach on the first day, after many kilometers and sharp turns of the longest flow trail in Europe. Only the beginning of the next day is similarly relaxed, when we head towards the Karavanke massif along the river Zilja. Then it starts for real! The second day takes us over the aforementioned Karavanke ridge, steeply on the other side into the mountain biking paradise of the Slovenian part of the Julian Alps.
On the third day, we head from Kranjska Gora over the highest Slovenian road crossing Vršič, enjoying the many breath-taking views and cycling trails surrounded by the precipice walls of the high mountains all around. Steeply up and deeply down, all the way to the source of the emerald river Soča and further along its upper course to Bovec, the Slovenian cradle of adventure and adrenaline sports. More to follow soon!
